Well, it's a nice rainy day, so a lot of thinking done indoors...and thinking of the possibilities that are coming our way in the next year....I had a friend make an obvious note about our blog...she said "why don't you have any pictures of the view and the water?"...I said.."duh, very good point!". So, the next blog will be of "sunny" images of our water view. The south facing part of the house with all the windows will face the water. 

The asbestos removal is almost done..only 1 side to complete. We had to laugh and then wonder how good the communication is with the city when we got a notice in the mail saying we were in violation of "too much garbage" outside the house we bought. Unfortunately, the City of Menasha some how oversaw the HUGE dumpster parked outside the house...and this very summer we met with the City Council and they knew of us tearing down the house. I guess communication is lacking in some of their departments.  So, when Paul said "you know we are demoing the house, right?" and there eloquent response was ...."Oh! We didn't know!....oh well...the City is fairing quite well off our purchase: between buying the property, paying for a variance, paying for the gas to be shut off ($650.00 bucks), paying for the demo and removal of asbestos (easily $6000.00)...they are definitely benefiting...

It's a small community so I can't imagine what it will be like when we actually start to build! Oh, boy!
